Dr. Boyd holds a Doctor of Education, Educational Psychology, a Master of Science in Marketing, an MBA in Finance and Marketing and a Bachelor of Science in Business form the University of Southern California. 

Professor Boyd developed an employment assessment system that has an 85% predictive reliability on a good hire.  He has also participated as a consulting statistician on an NSF funded project, and is a published contributor to a work on Human Performance Technology.

Professor Boyd has served as a Senior Adjunct Professor with the University of La Verne

Prof. Boyd has served as an adjunct faculty member, Senior Adjunct Professor, , Program Chair. Prof. Boyd has taught classes in Computer Science and Information Systems, Management Information Systems, Technology in Education, Management & Leadership, and capstone courses in business
