Dr. Hirokawa holds a Doctor of Business Administration in International Business degree, a Master of Business Administration in Project Management degree earned in the U.S., and a Bachelor of English Literature with Teaching Credentials degree earned in Japan.
Prof. Hirokawa has published a paper on challenges and opportunities of developing effective marketing strategies for the Japanese market titled Developing Effective Marketing Strategies for the Japanese Market: A Review of the Literature, and has a co-authored published paper for the medical field titled Effect of Intravenous (IV) Assistive Device (VeinViewer) on IV Access Attempts, Procedural Time, and Patient and Nurse Satisfaction, contributing to statistical data analysis.
Prof. Hirokawa has served as the general manager of a highly technology-oriented Japanese vibration testing equipment manufacturer developing the U.S. market from scratch by organizing trade shows, creating a sales rep. network, and collaborating with the local companies and even competitors in the industry. After transferring to a U.S. company in the industry, he has played a major role in communicating with the above-mentioned Japanese manufacturing partner for successful completion of evaluation tests for the aerospace industry. Dr. Hirokawa has also worked with students at the graduate and doctoral levels in statistical analysis for research, APA formatting, and other business-related projects.
