Dr. Barton will complete a Doctor of Business Administration & Accounting degree in March 2023. Dr. Barton holds a Doctor of Philosophy & Leadership degree, a Master’s of Business Administration in Business Administration degree, a Bachelor’s of Business of Administration & Accounting degree.

Dr. Barton has conducted graduate research in higher education leadership for improving job satisfaction and professional training among adjunct professors, and is currently conducting research to improve financial reporting transparency among nonprofit organizations.

Dr. Barton has served as an adjunct faculty member, Associate Professor, and Full Professor. Dr Barton has taught classes in Accounting, Business Administration, Finance, Financial Planning & Analysis, Leadership (including course design & developer), Management (including course design & development), Organizational Leadership, Public Administration (including capstone), Ethics & Corporate Social Responsibility, Entrepreneurship & Intrapreneurship, and Public Writing. Dr. Barton has also developed business, finance, accounting, and leadership curriculum at both the undergraduate and graduate level.
