Professor Omid Gohardani holds a Doctor of Philosophy degree in Aerospace Engineering, a Master of Philosophy degree in Aerospace Engineering, a Master of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering, a Master of Science degree in Aeronautical degree and a Bachelor of Science degree in Vehicle Engineering.
Professor Gohardani has conducted postgraduate research in aerospace and defense technology for future aerial and space platforms, and he has authored more than 30 published articles and a book on the future applications of advance materials in aerospace engineering and the impact of aerospace technology on society. Professor Gohardani is an experienced leadership/program/project management expert. He is a Learner-Centered Education specialist with a College Teaching Certificate from the University of Arizona (summa cum laude), a United States Wakonse Teaching Fellow, and an Honorary Citizen of the City of Irvine, California, and Tucson, Arizona, in the United States, respectively.
Professor Gohardani has led a large number of multimillion-dollar programs for the aerospace and defense sectors and he frequently collaborates with the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) where he also serves as a Postdoctoral Program Reviewer. Professor Gohardani’s research interest includes innovative project management strategies and interactive applications of state-of-the-art teaching solutions in support of his teaching philosophy which aims to instigate student success with an emphasis on student empowerment and career goals. Professor Gohardani has instructed over 2,000 students (K-12/College/University) both in Europe and in the United States. A multilingual educator with experiences working in Sweden and in the United Kingdom, Professor Gohardani’s research contributions are cited by among others; NASA, the European Union (EU), the National Institute of Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH), National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST), Russian Academy of Sciences, Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency (JAXA), and the German Aerospace Center (DLR).
