Dr. Bolourieh holds a Doctor of Educational Leadership degree, a Master of Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages degree, a Bachelor of English Language and Literature degree. Prof. Bolourieh has conducted research on the impact of Mentorship and its impact to help Youth become Global Citizens. Her research interests are centered around evaluating the mentorship impact on youth forming the concept of global citizenship. Building upon the Doctorate degree, she took leadership and management courses in education, research and analytics, governance, and marketing to better contextualize quantitative and qualitative analysis along multidisciplinary lines. She sought fluency in the respective language of each field in order to use data across institutional boundaries and better facilitate communication between different stakeholders in public and private arenas. This background has made her well equipped to manage the research, synthesis, and communication of scientific, economic, and social information for technical and non-technical audiences. She has overviewed and drafted grants and demonstrated her abilities to provide a systematic review of regional fundraising projects and familiarity with related funds to provide resources for a minor community. Her ability to weave narratives that give a face to data, along with the technical skills to manage functional databases have been a crucial asset for professor Bolourieh.
Working as a Teacher Assistant while being a Fulbright scholar at the University of Arizona in 2007-2008, she had the opportunity to practice teaching to undergraduate and graduate students coming from diverse backgrounds. Dr. Bolourieh cooperated in Curriculum and Material Development to renew the Language teaching material. While teaching at the University of Arizona she conducted the extracurricular activities at the Persian Language Department and managed the gatherings and cultural activities to let students practice and raise a sense of cultural appreciation.
Through her 10 years of experience teaching and supervising at college and university level, she has gained knowledge about the privileges and disadvantages of diverse educational settings nationally and internationally which equipped her with an ability to connect well with students coming from all walks of life with different world views.
Dr. Bolourieh has shown leadership skills in managing sensitive logistics and correspondence to secure high-level speakers and organizing formal events with 550+ persons in attendance. Her ability to form partnerships is best exemplified by my research endeavors, which required making creative connections, interpersonal skills, and expert coordination with a wide range of stakeholders. She has shown skills in working in high-demanding roles and multi-task positions, required cultural sensitivity, adaptability, and resourcefulness.
