“So far, with all the other schools I’ve attended, Westcliff is a different environment because there is a lot of support coming from the instructors and coaches. It’s a great school to attend, because as athletes we need a lot of support and guidance for our athletic career. Westcliff is just good, I love it.”

“I chose Westcliff because after hearing from current students and their experiences, they only had good things to offer. In addition to being able to play sports, I enjoy that I am pursuing a path to better my future.”

“I started studies at Westcliff University in January 2020. I enjoyed the campus and met with my professors and classmates. Due to the quarantine, in March we had to shift to 100% online classes. The administration of our school informed us in advance about the transition to online classes. We were getting weekly updates regarding the situation in Orange County via email. Once it was clear that we would have to proceed with 100% online classes until the situation changes, all the students were provided with Zoom accounts. Instead of meeting on campus we started to attend online class meetings via Zoom. The meetings are scheduled for the same dates and time the on campus meetings were scheduled. Our professors were very supportive throughout this transition. At every class meeting we have a check in regarding the situation at our homes. The professors make sure that we feel comfortable and prepared for classes. They encourage us to share our thoughts on how to make the most of our online class meetings. I enjoyed Business Intelligence & Information Management classes where we practiced Python programming every day. Thanks to online study platforms for coding, we, the students, can work on our coding skills from the convenience of our homes. I would like to thank Westcliff University staff and the professors for making our temporary transition to online classes as smooth as possible.”

“I chose Westcliff because it gave me a second opportunity for schooling and to play the sport that I love, soccer. The environment is very kind and welcoming, Financial Aid and Administration really helped me out a lot in the beginning, and I just feel like home here.”

-Rebecca Gonzales, BAEd Student

“The TESOL courses at Westcliff University gave me the opportunity to share my knowledge with others by providing me with the training and tools necessary to teach TEFL. The courses were very well structured. The courses were broken down into various units covering teaching methods, teaching applications, grammar usage, and classroom dynamics. The practicum and the peer teaching were the most important parts of the courses; they helped me prepare multiple teaching lessons on reading, listening, functional language, grammar and vocabulary that are all go hand in hand and are linked together. This helped me to develop and organize my own lesson plans in a structured way.

The professors were extremely knowledgeable and helpful and because of the courses I took at Westcliff University, I feel fully prepared and would definitely recommend it to anyone who is interested in learning how to teach TEFL.”

-Michael Phan, TESOL Student

“It enables me to become a better, knowledgeable teacher as it exposes me to vital information and teaches me ways to deeply connect, understand my students needs [both grammatical knowledge and ability] in my classroom teaching and better my students learning.”

-Chinyere Ikpoh, MA TESOL Student
