Dr. Huston Pullen is a highly accomplished professional with a diverse background in academia, business, and economic development. He holds a Doctor of Business Administration in Management & International Strategy from Florida International University, where his dissertation focused on “Building Greater Entrepreneurial Ecosystems” in developing nations. Complementing this, he earned a Graduate Certificate in Diversity & Inclusion from Cornell University and a Master of Music in Music Conducting from Azusa Pacific University.

Huston’s academic journey also includes an MBA in International Business & Strategic Management from the University of Nevada, Reno, and a Master of Science in Crisis & Emergency Management from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. His commitment to education is evident through his roles as an Instructor at the College of San Mateo, Lecturer at Purdue University – Fort Wayne, and Adjunct Professor at various institutions, where he has designed and administered curriculum in areas such as Digital & Social Media Marketing, Non-Profit Management, and Healthcare Entrepreneurship.

Drawing upon extensive professional experience, Dr. Pullen has undertaken pivotal roles, notably as the Principal Consultant and Owner of Development Solutions By Design LLC. In this capacity, he spearheads strategic change management initiatives and formulates economic development strategies tailored to clients’ unique needs. His versatile career encompasses diverse capacities in economic development, public affairs, and organizational leadership, spanning across federal, state, and local government levels, as well as the private sector.

In his dynamic career, Huston has received numerous awards and honors, including the 2022 Transforming Academic Research Symposium Millionaire Award and the 2017 FBI Exceptional Achievement Award for Public Affairs. He is certified in Change Management, Management Consulting, and Strategic Planning by Booz Allen Hamilton and has completed crisis communications and negotiations training with the Federal Bureau of Investigation.
