Academic Programs Offered at Our Corona Campus
College of Nursing
Demand for nurses is at an all-time high, with Riverside, San Bernardino, and Los Angeles counties driving Southern California’s high needs. Westcliff University’s Corona campus is home to two nursing programs. Both are designed to give you the skills, confidence, and community you need to pursue a rewarding career in nursing—whether you’re changing careers or just starting your higher education.
Our career-focused BSN program gives you an interactive, technology-driven education designed for your long-term success in nursing. After introductory general education and science courses, you will dive into hands-on nursing courses and clinical hours. Upon graduation, you’ll be prepared to pass your licensing exam and walk into a hospital confident that you can make a difference.
- Admission Requirements: High school diploma or GED, Minimum 2.75 GPA, Composite score of 65 on the Test of Essential Academic Skills (TEAS)
- Clinical Admissions Requirements: Clean background check, CPR certification, Proof of health insurance and clinical clearance
- Average Program Length: 9 semesters
- Classes: Full-time course 4-5 days a week
- Nursing Theory Courses: 2 – 3 days a week (daytime and evenings available)
- Nursing Clinical Courses: 1 – 2 days a week (daytime and evenings available)
- Total Credits Required: 120 credits (55 general education credits + 65 Nursing credits)
Our ELM program is designed for those with a degree in a non-nursing field or those looking for the advanced career paths open to nurses with a master’s degree. With our Corona campus’s cutting-edge facilities and clinical rounds at premier sites beginning in the first semester, our ELM students hit the ground running in this accelerated program.
- Admissions Requirements: Bachelor’s degree or higher from an accredited institution, minimum 2.75 GPA
- Pre-Requisite Courses (Grade B or higher): Chemistry, Anatomy & Physiology I and II, Microbiology, Ethics, Critical Thinking, Sociology, Statistics, and Psychology.
- Clinical Admissions Requirements: Clean background check, CPR certification, Proof of health insurance and clinical clearance
- Program length: 20 months (full-time)
- Schedule: 4-5 days per week, including clinical rotations (some evenings or weekends possible for clinical rotations)
- Credits Required: 65 total
- Clinical Sites: Assigned based on availability
