Westcliff University Acquires Pacific College, Expanding Healthcare Education
Westcliff University has acquired Pacific College, a private nursing school founded in 1993, creating a new partnership focused on expanding access to nursing education across Southern California.
The acquisition preserves Pacific College’s 33-year legacy while connecting its students and faculty with Westcliff’s broader academic community, industry partnerships and career-focused approach to education. Together, the institutions offer pathways spanning entry-level vocational and registered nursing programs through graduate education, including family nurse practitioner studies.
The partnership comes as California faces a growing need for qualified healthcare professionals. The state is projected to need more than 61,000 additional registered nurses by 2033, highlighting the importance of accessible, high-quality nursing education.
Pacific College brings a strong record of student success, including a 95.83% NCLEX-RN pass rate during the 2024–25 academic year. Its established nursing programs complement Westcliff’s growing investment in healthcare education, including the recent launch of its College of Nursing and state-of-the-art nursing campus in Corona.
As Pacific College begins its next chapter within the Westcliff family, the partnership will create new opportunities for collaboration, innovation and student success while building on the institution’s longstanding commitment to healthcare education.
