Westcliff University Celebrates Dallas Grand Opening, Expanding Access to Career-Focused Education

Westcliff University Dallas campus grand opening event with students, faculty, and leadership

Westcliff University officially marked a major milestone this past weekend with the grand opening of its Dallas campus, an exciting step forward in its continued national expansion and mission to bring high-quality, career-focused education closer to students across the United States and beyond.

While classes at the Dallas location have been underway for months, the grand opening served as a celebration of something deeper: the thriving community of students, faculty, staff, and partners who are shaping the future of Westcliff in one of the most in-demand hubs for graduate programs in Dallas.

A Strategic Expansion Rooted in Student Needs

Westcliff’s expansion into Dallas was driven by a clear priority, listening to students and evolving to meet the needs of today’s modern learner.

“One of the best things about Westcliff is that we listen to our students, we really do,” said President and CEO Dr. Anthony Lee. “We are agile enough to hear what they are asking for and make it happen. That is what we did here in Dallas.”

As demand grew from both local students and those traveling for Westcliff’s unique Professional Format Weekends, Dallas emerged as a natural next step. The campus provides a new “educational home” for students in the region while also supporting hybrid learners who value flexibility without sacrificing quality.

Designed for working professionals, career changers, and individuals balancing education with full-time work or family commitments, Westcliff’s model makes it possible to earn a graduate degree in Texas, including MBA and technology programs, without putting life on hold. Whether students are based in Dallas or commuting once per term for in-person sessions, the experience is built to be both accessible and high-impact.

Expanding Without Compromising Quality

As Westcliff continues to grow, its leadership remains focused on maintaining, and elevating academic excellence across every new location and new program.

“We are one of the fastest-growing universities in the country, and part of the reason for that is because we expand without ever sacrificing quality,” Dr. Lee emphasized.

That commitment is reflected in every aspect of the Dallas campus, from its industry-experienced faculty to its student-centered support systems, key differentiators for students searching for career-focused universities in Texas.

Vice President of Strategic Enrollment Justin Hernandez noted, “The industries growing here in Dallas are immense, and we are excited to be a part of that. This campus has already grown rapidly in the short time we have been open, and we expect it to continue to expand even more.”

A Campus Designed for Connection and Experience

Located near Uptown in Oak Lawn, directly across from the scenic Turtle Creek Park, the Dallas campus offers an ideal environment for both academic focus and personal well-being.

Students can step outside between classes for a walk in nature, enjoy nearby restaurants within walking distance, or take advantage of the campus’s proximity, just 15 minutes from Dallas Love Field Airport, making it especially convenient for hybrid learners traveling for in-person sessions.

For local student Joshua, an MSIT alumnus and current MBA student who even contributed input during the campus selection process, the location stands out.

“I may be biased, but this really is one of the nicest areas, not only in Dallas but in Texas. It is the perfect location,” he shared.

Dallas: A Booming Hub for Business, Technology, and Talent

Westcliff’s expansion aligns with Dallas’ rapid emergence as a national leader in economic growth, innovation, and workforce demand.

Major global companies such as Salesforce, Deloitte, Rolex, and the Professional Golfers’ Association of America have established major operations in the region, driving demand for talent across industries like technology, finance, consulting, and data analytics.

Dallas is also set to host matches and be the designated media center for the FIFA World Cup 2026, further positioning the city as a global center for business, media, and large-scale events.

This rapid expansion has created a pressing need for highly skilled professionals equipped with both technical expertise and leadership capabilities, particularly those with graduate-level business and technology education.

Nicko Roche, a representative from the Dallas Chamber of Commerce, highlighted this demand:
“Dallas is in constant growth and economic development. It is incredible to have institutions like Westcliff to help meet these talent demands that come with it.”

Preparing the Workforce of Tomorrow

Westcliff is helping meet this demand through its career-focused graduate programs in business and technology, designed to align directly with industry needs.

Through a blend of hybrid learning, real-world application, and faculty with extensive professional experience, students gain practical, job-ready skills that translate immediately into the workplace.

Westcliff’s Professional Format Weekends are a key part of this model, offering structured, in-person experiences that foster collaboration, networking, and hands-on learning, while still maintaining the flexibility that defines its working professional-friendly graduate and doctoral programs.

A Community at the Heart of it All

At its core, the Dallas Grand Opening was a celebration of people, the defining element behind Westcliff’s continued growth and success.

From dedicated staff and faculty to engaged students and community partners, the event showcased the supportive, student-first environment that sets Westcliff apart from other universities in Dallas offering graduate degrees.

Rebecca Jones, Vice President of Student Experience, shared, “I have heard from multiple students how happy they are to now have a campus in Dallas and how much they love the location and convenience.”

For students like Joshua, that sense of community is what truly differentiates the experience.

“I have so much pride being a part of Westcliff,” he said. “I have referred many friends to come here. One of the main reasons is they really care about you. They don’t just see you as a student number, but as a person. Westcliff puts students at the heart of everything they do.”
