Master of Science in Education
Program Overview
The Master of Science in Education equips students with the technical, pedagogical, and leadership expertise needed to design, implement, and evaluate innovative learning systems. Integrating learning sciences, engineering design principles, and emerging applications of artificial intelligence, the program prepares graduates to evaluate the next generation of adaptive educational technologies that enhance teaching and learning across K–12 schools, higher education, and professional training environments.

Admission Requirements
For acceptance into the Master of Science in Education degree program, applicants must have a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university (or its equivalent from a recognized institution) with a minimum 2.5 cumulative GPA.
Practical Learning Experience Requirements
Westcliff University has integrated Practical Learning Experience (PLE) as a graduation requirement for the Master of Science in Education program.
- Can be satisfied by completing at least one credit-bearing internship course that is assessed on a Credit/No Credit basis.
- Students are encouraged to complete as many PLEs as their schedules permit.
- Internships may require a start date up to 30 days prior to the start of classes to meet the onboarding requirements of the professional workplace. Students wishing to meet this graduation requirement in this manner must notify the university in advance.
Graduation Requirements
Students must complete thirty-seven (37) prescribed credit hours, including 33 credit hours of Core courses, and three (3) credit hours of Capstone, with a program GPA (PGPA) of 3.0 or higher–and complete one (1) Practical Learning Experience (PLE) to graduate. Students must apply for graduation. Upon graduation and fulfillment of all academic requirements, students receive a Master of Science in Education Innovation degree.
