Jeanne Clery Act
The Clery Act requires colleges and universities to report campus crime data, support victims of violence, and publicly outline the policies and procedures they have put into place to improve campus safety.
Clery Act Crime Categories
Westcliff University must include five distinct categories of crime in the Annual Security Report crime data.
Criminal Offenses
- Criminal homicide: murder and non-negligent manslaughter, manslaughter by negligence
- Sexual assault: rape, fondling, incest, statutory rape
- Robbery
- Aggravated assault
- Burglary
- Motor vehicle theft
- Arson
Hate Crimes (any of the above mentioned offenses, and any incidents of)
- Larceny-theft
- Simple assault
- Intimidation
- Destruction/damage/vandalism of property

Westcliff University has not received or documented any reports of hazing. The institution remains committed to maintaining a safe, respectful, and supportive learning environment, and continues to monitor and address any student conduct concerns in accordance with university policy and applicable regulations.

Campus Security Authority
A Campus Security Authority (CSA) is a specific group of individuals at Westcliff University who have a legal responsibility to report certain crimes for Clery Act compliance. CSAs are officials who have significant responsibility for student and campus activities and are required by federal law to document and forward reports of Clery crimes to the University’s safety office for review.
If you believe you have experienced, witnessed, or become aware of a Clery-reportable crime, please report the incident to one of the designated Campus Security Authorities (CSAs) at your campus.
You may report to any of the following designated CSAs at each campus:
